Spreading His Word

We use our platforms to share devotionals, Scripture, encouragement, and equestrian inspiration, spreading hope and faith in the equestrian world. Follow us, engage with our community, and use #MeekEquestrian to share your story and connect with other riders who ride for Christ.

Esther 4:14 is a verse I continually come back to, especially as I watch the world around us change both in the arena and outside of it. It’s easy to think our calling only exists in the big moments, but God has also placed us in the everyday places we love—including the barn. The people we ride with, learn from, encourage, compete alongside, and simply share life with are not there by accident. Every conversation, every act of kindness, and every opportunity to encourage someone could be a moment God has prepared. That’s why we need to stay sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. He often works through the ordinary moments—a conversation in the barn aisle, a quiet prayer for a friend, an encouraging word after a difficult ride, or simply choosing to love others like Christ. We never know how God may use our obedience. Like Esther, we may never know the full impact of our faithfulness, but we can trust that God has us exactly where He wants us. #Christian #encouragement #horses #meekequestrian #bibleverse

The hours spent grooming, hand grazing, walking, and simply being together create the trust that carries into every ride. In the same way, our relationship with Jesus is strengthened through the quiet moments outside of church—reading His Word, praying, worshipping, and spending time in His presence. The time outside the saddle prepares you for the ride. If you’re wondering how to grow closer to Jesus, Scripture doesn’t leave us guessing. While the Bible doesn’t give us a checklist for the Christian life, it does show us the rhythms that help us know Him more deeply. As we consistently spend time with the Lord through prayer, His Word, worship, fellowship, and remembering His faithfulness, our hearts are transformed to become more like Christ. These habits don’t earn our salvation—they help us abide in the One who has already saved us. • Daily Prayer “Pray without ceasing.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (ESV) • Reading God’s Word “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105 (ESV) • Fellowship with Other Believers “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together… but encouraging one another.” — Hebrews 10:24–25 (ESV) • Worship “God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” — John 4:24 (ESV) • Journaling & Remembering God’s Faithfulness “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.” — Psalm 103:2 (ESV)

It’s easy to get caught up in the distractions of the world and begin treating faith like another chore on a checklist. But that’s not what Jesus calls us to. Faith was never meant to be a religion to follow—it was meant to be a relationship to live. Christianity is about knowing Jesus, walking with Him daily, and allowing Him to transform every area of our lives. Just like any relationship, it takes time, intention, and consistency to grow. Think of a plant: if it isn’t watered, it won’t flourish. The same is true of our relationship with Christ. We can’t expect spiritual growth if we only spend time with Him when it’s convenient or when we have nothing else to do. Our relationship with Jesus was never meant to be shoved into a box or treated as a task we’ll hopefully get to later. He deserves more than our leftovers. He deserves our first priority. When we make time to seek Him, spend time in His Word, and walk with Him daily, our minds are renewed, our hearts are strengthened, and our lives begin to reflect Him more and more.

In a world that constantly tells us to chase recognition, success, and attention, this verse reminds us to surrender it all back to Jesus. In the barn, in the arena, and in everyday life, may our lives point back to Him in all we do: less of us, more of Jesus.🤍

In the equestrian world, it can be easy to rely on our own strength — our preparation, training, experience, or performance in the arena. But horses have a way of humbling us quickly and reminding us that we are not fully in control. Psalm 59:16 points us back to the true source of our strength. In the early barn mornings, the long show days, the frustrating rides, the setbacks, and even the victories, God remains steady. He is our refuge when nerves are high, when plans fall apart, and when we feel overwhelmed. As equestrians, we are blessed with the opportunity to care for His creation and enjoy these horses, but this verse reminds us not to place our identity in results or ribbons. Instead, we can enter the barn each day praising the Lord for His faithfulness and leaning on His strength rather than our own.

A midweek reminder: serving God will always matter more than serving man. When our focus is on Him, everything else falls into its rightful place — in the barn and outside of it🤍

Not every season in the saddle is about ribbons. Some seasons are about learning patience, trusting the process, and remembering that God is working even when progress feels slow.🤍

With show and rodeo season getting into full swing, it’s a good reminder that what we do is not by our own strength alone. Horses quickly remind us that we are not in control of everything. No matter how experienced we are, how strong we feel, or how prepared we try to be, there are moments when our own strength simply isn’t enough — especially in the show ring when nerves can run extremely high. In those moments, we are reminded to trust in God rather than rely on ourselves. When we lean on Him, He steadies our hearts and quiets our minds, helping us refocus on the blessing it is to ride and show these incredible horses. In the barn, in the arena, and in the quiet moments in between, one of our greatest desires should be to grow more aware of His presence. God invites us into relationship with Him in every part of our lives — even the small, ordinary moments. As we actively seek to dwell in His presence, our perspective begins to change. We learn to lean fully on Him and surrender, resting in the reminder that His presence is with us always. 🤍 “One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple.” — Psalm 27:4

As this new week and month begin, rest in this truth — God’s timing is perfect. You don’t have to rush what He’s already planned. His pace may look different than yours, but it’s always filled with purpose. Whether in the arena or at the barn, may it all point back to Him. It’s never about us — it’s about reflecting His goodness in every moment. In the wins and the losses, in the joy and in the waiting, may our hearts stay centered on His purpose. Time with horses is about more than training, riding, or showing—it’s an opportunity to honor Jesus in every moment, whether in the arena, on the trail, or in the quiet rhythm of barn life. Success and ribbons will fade, but the way we carry ourselves—with humility, honesty, and grace—becomes a lasting testimony of Christ in us. Riding itself can be a place to glorify God through our effort, discipline, and perseverance, because every stride taken in faith is an opportunity to reflect Him. The barn can be more than just a place where horses are kept—it can be a sanctuary. In its quiet corners and daily rhythms, we are reminded to thank Him for the beauty of His creation, the gift of horses, and the peace found in still moments in the saddle. It’s often in those moments that God leads us into green pastures and still waters of the soul—restoring and refreshing us in ways only He can. Even the simple gift of being with a horse reflects His goodness and creativity, pointing our hearts back to the One who made all things. And it’s not just in the saddle—chores like grooming, mucking stalls, feeding, and filling water buckets can all become acts of worship when done with a grateful heart, offering our work to the Lord as service to Him. Horses have a way of drawing people together in meaningful ways. Whether it’s trail rides, long barn days, or show arenas, these moments become opportunities to encourage others, extend kindness, and reflect Christ through our words and actions. When we ride, care, or compete, we are not just representing ourselves—we carry His name. And in choosing integrity, gratitude, and love, we let our time with horses become more than a passion—it becomes worship.

God’s approval, not man’s. Always. True discipleship means prioritizing God’s truth, even if it’s unpopular or brings opposition.

We can by faith come freely to the Lord. Invite him into our lives and rest in His presence in everything we walk through. Even parts of your day that seem small to you they aren’t too small for Jesus, He wants to be apart of them with you! He will give you peace and freedom.🤍

✨ What a sweet first meetup! ✨ We gathered together for Bible study on meekness—digging into what it means to walk in humility and strength through Christ. It was such an encouraging time sharing God’s Word, reflecting together, and seeing how He is moving in our community. After our study, we got creative making flower vases 🌸—a reminder to carry beauty and joy into the spaces around us. The best part? Connecting with other Christian horse girls 🤍—sharing faith, laughter, and encouragement in a space where the love of Christ and the love of horses come together. The gift of quiet time with God fills the heart with deep gratitude. Each moment spent in the presence of our Savior is a reminder of what a precious blessing it is to simply be with Him. No matter where we are in our walk with Jesus, we are all invited into an intimate relationship with the Creator of the universe—who knows us fully, loves us deeply, and calls us each by name. At His feet, we are free to lay down every worry, every weakness. He fights for us, never leaves us, and gently leads us forward. Whether our burdens feel heavy or light, great or small, Jesus wants us to bring it all to Him.
